WHY PEOPLE DO NOT GO TO CHURCH
Hebrews10. 23-27

I.  WHY DO PEOPLE                 GO TO CHURCH?
A.  We live in a time in nation’s history when church attendance is on the decline.
B.  It seems that for many people church has become a “____-essential.” 
II. THERE ARE LOTS OF REASONS WHY PEOPLE DON’T GO TO CHURCH.
             A.  Sometimes People Don’t Know That We ________
B.  The Church Did Not Meet Their Needs 
C.  There are a huge percentage of persons who have ______  _____ to church in their life
III.  THE CHURCH HAS BECOME A NON-ESSENTIAL IN MANY WAYS
A.  Life _________ have caused disconnects for people , and they just never got “re-connected”
B.  Perhaps the church didn’t reach out…at the right time
IV.  WHAT CAN WE DO TO             THE WORLD THAT CHURCH IS ESSENTIAL TO US?  Heb. 10.23-27
A.  Deeper            in Jesus- “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess for He who promised is faithful” - church must be about Jesus.
B.  Be outward focused-  “let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”
C.  Be an                - “let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another…”
D.  Godliness- “If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only the fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.”  (v 26-27)
V.  CONCLUSION: YOUR             IS NEEDED
A.  Intentional effort by worshippers to help make our church essential to others
B.  Why do people NOT go to church?  Lots of reasons…But Ultimately People & the World ______ need the church. 
C.  YOU CAN HELP!  You can help your church be essential, loving, caring, and impacting to people’s lives.

· Though the years have gone by, don’t give up —silence does not mean God does not care.
· Mothers, ____________  ____ ____ for that son or daughter who is still walking in the ways of sin.  Grandmothers…don’t give up.

· The Lord can change your life for the better in “wonderful ways” and that’s what your mother may be praying for most of all! 
· Why not let this be the day when her prayers are finally    answered?
