YOUR TICKET TO PARADISE:  RIGHTEOUSNESS BY FAITH
Romans 3. 21-31
I.  ONE OF PROBLEMS WHEN READING ROMANS IS “BIG ____.”
-In this passage alone there are several:  Righteousness, Law, Justified/Justice, Redemption, Sacrifice, Atonement, Forebearance

II.  1st GOD IS ABSOLUTELY ______- HOLY- & RIGHTEOUS
A.  Thus, everyone will be accountable to God…
B.  Ticket Illustration:  which represents ________________
-So who here- should receive a ticket?  
-If you don’t have a ticket, then you cannot get into Heaven.

III.  BUT NOW, THERE IS ANOTHER _____ TO GET A TICKET!
A.  The ticket- RIGHTEOUSNESS- is available for believers
B.  The ticket comes as a gift (________) from God because Jesus – will redeem you.

IV.  REDEMPTION/ATONEMENT:  more big words…big concepts?
A.  When it comes to life- our sin amasses a ______
B.  Jesus will atone for (pay for) your debt. 
C.  ____________- your bill is paid

V.  HOW DOES THIS REDEMPTION & ATONEMENT WORK?
A.  __________- God’s patient waiting for the right time to make things right.
B.  Believers – past, present, and future- needed redemption: to have debts paid.
C.  So God waited, and at the _________time (On Calvary’s Cross)
D.  WHAT GOD REQUIRES- HE __________
- God is JUST AND JUSTIFIER…

VI.  PAUL CONCLUDES:  “WHERE IS _________?” 
A.  Does anyone have a ticket? 
B.  Why is it that no one can boast?   BECAUSE there is ONLY ______ WAY TO BE RIGHTEOUS…(GET A TICKET) BY FAITH

"Our Universal Need"
Romans 1:18-2:29



OUR UNIVERSAL NEED
Romans 1: 18- 2.29
Opening Sentence: It has been said that a clear conscience is just the result of a bad memory.
**The theme of Romans 1-2:   We all have a universal need: salvation from the righteous wrath of God.

I.  THE GOSPEL IS THE  ______ OF GOD FOR SALVATION 
**In order to fully explain the Good News of Salvation, Paul first shows the Universal Problem of All Mankind.
II.  THE WRATH OF GOD REVEALED FROM __________(V. 18-19)
A.  God has made it plain about himself since the beginning…(v. 20)

C.  If people refuse to believe in God, then they rationalize that there is no need to feel guilty for sin…since there really isn’t any sin
