I.  Introduction:  Is God a ________ God?

II.  Believe question- DOES GOD CARE ABOUT ME?

III.  Believe Idea- I BELIEVE GOD IS INVOLVED IN AND CARES ABOUT MY DAILY               ________

IV.  Bible Says, The WATCHING-OVER GOD IS ________:
A.  But People Often Wonder About This.  Is He Good? 
B.  If God is both great and good, _____ is there so much suffering in the world?  
C.  Does the presence of pain mean God is NOT good?

V.  THE WATCHING-OVER GOD CARES
A.  Examples: ________Wept- Rescued Paul & Silas from the Philippian Jail, by an earthquake.
B.  GOD CARES: the greater ________, over-rides the lesser pain

VI.  THE WATCHING-OVER GOD HAS A ________
A.  The Bible Affirms that God has a plan
B.  We are _____ usually told what the plan is.
C.  Somewhere down the road- we may see

VII.  SO, WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT ______, IF I BELIEVE GOD IS INVOLVED IN AND CARES ABOUT MY DAILY LIFE?

A.  If I believe God is good- I don’t have to be ______ of Him
*God is able to make all things work together for good, for those who love Him…even the things I’m ashamed of…and the things that might hurt others…
*If God is good- we can be free from fear and be at peace with God.

B.  If I believe…that He cares about my life, then I can trust that “help is on the way.” 
*I am not in this life all ________.  “My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.”
*I have a God who comforts me

THE ONE TRUE GOD

I.  I BELIEVE THE GOD OF THE BIBLE IS THE ONE _____ GOD- FATHER, SON, AND HOLY SPIRIT:
A.  The Bible does not defend or explain God’s existence- it is ________
B.  Bible makes it very clear that ____ all gods are the same
** In fact, the Bible claims that there is only One True Living God. 
II.  THE GOD OF THE BIBLE IS A _________ (Father, Son, & Holy Spirit)
A.  In the beginning God …elohim (plural) created
the spirit hovered over
B.  At Jesus’ baptism we see all three together
C.  TRINITY-  Trinity- three different persons…BUT ______ GOD!
III.  WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?  The God of the Bible ______ US.
A.  As the loving and caring Father he protects, disciplines, provides, and ultimately “redeems.”  
B.  As the Son- Jesus sacrifices and _________
C.  As the Comforter- the Holy Spirit guides, teaches, inspires, and transforms
IV.  WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE IF I BELIEVE?
A.  #1- If the God of the Bible is The One True God, it means that I am ____ God, nor are other gods (little g) and idols worthy of my trust.

I.  OPENING:  What is faith?

II.  NEXT WEEK WE BEGIN “BELIEVE”
A.  Many people deal with questions, _______, and uncertainties 
B.  Not designed to make you believe something you don’t want to believe 
III.  OFTEN PEOPLE TELL YOU:  there are ___ Options for believing
A.  Yes, or No!  Either you believe, or you don’t
B.  Yet _____ of us operate on more of a continuum of belief.
IV.  TWO KINDS OF DOUBTS
A.  Intellectual:

V.  FAITH AND DOUBT: they seem to go together.
A.  Jesus was exasperated by the doubting crowd and struggling disciples but the father’s doubts did not negate the miracle
B.  Sometimes being honest with Jesus about our doubts and our struggles can be liberating, and a create closer _____________.
VI.  FAITH IS NOT THE ABSENCE OF DOUBT, BUT ______, STEPPING OUT IN SPITE OF THE DOUBTS.
A.  As we act or step out…our faith grows.

**THE BIBLE  IS FILLED WITH STORIES & TESTIMONIES OF THOSE TIMES WHEN ______ SHOWED UP…RIGHT ON TIME… And of those times when God had a greater purpose.

**Andthough it seems like my prayers are not answered and there’s no use to bother the Lord anymore…I need to be patient and trusting.

C.  Lesson 3: One of these days… the Master will come to our room…or our tomb…and He will say…

B.  They did numerous things which were helpful for Paul
C.  CHURCH FAMILY IS ___________!  … There are people who help us!
II.  (Reason #2) THERE IS ___________ IN NUMBERS:

B.  You & I need the church because: There is safety in numbers-
III.  VICTORY CAN BE CELEBRATED BETTER ____________!
A.  When you win, when you succeed, when things in your go right, do you want to keep it to yourself?
*Don’t you want to call and tell somebody?
B.  Good things are happening! 
C.  CHURCH FAMILY IS IMPORTANT!  We get to share ________ together!
D.  Now all glory to God, who is able to make you strong!
IV.  WHY DO YOU NEED THE CHURCH?

ROMANS 15. 1-13

A.  Each of us should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. (v.2)

3.  UNITY IS NOT ______ TO KEEP
A.  Is not what Satan wants…
B.  Unity- Is not easy for people

4.  HOW TO ______  THE UNITY-
A.  Eyes on Jesus- “… even as Christ did not live to please himself..”
B.  If there is UNITY- is because WE _______ UNITY!  It is a PRIORITY.

5.  THE GOAL OF UNITY is THAT WITH ONE HEART AND MOUTH WE MAY __________ THE GOD AND FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.
